66:. Tagged!

So, apparently there is this thing goin around, started in our friends by Duane and continued by my great friend Tom. Here’s the deal: Since I was tagged, I need to list 10 random things about myself. Here goes nothin . . .

1. I cannot enjoy music without first analyzing the mess out of it. As soon as I get a record, most recently The Myriad’s newest “With Arrows, With Poise”, I have to listen to it intently so I can catch all the small things my brain likes to evaluate. Once I’ve listened to it 3, maybe 4 times, I can finally enjoy it. Sometimes this is not true. In that case, we have found an amazing record.

2. I have 27 pairs of shoes. And yes, I plan on getting more.

3. I am far more agile than you think I am. I can do cartwheels, backflips, and all sorts of movements that you may not think a big dude could pull off. I think this comes from years of having a trampoline and watching the Power Rangers at an impressionable age.

4. When I am really into something I am doing, my tongue sticks out of my mouth maybe an 1/8th of an inch inbetween my teeth.

5. I have, at one time or another, played every instrument for a RE/Tsu service.

6. I’ve met Will Ferrell . . . and his grandparents.

7. I am very good at working with my hands. I don’t know why.

8. I broke my leg while playing Flag Football . . . Seriously.

9. I get very annoyed when I have to ask people to repeat something several times, like I didn’t hear them. Just speak up people!

10. I lived 2 blocks up from Macy’s in NYC on Broadway for a summer.

So thats it. This junk is too much fun. (Side Note: This next part, for me, is like on Iron Chef when the head guy would get ready to reveal the secret ingredient for that day’s battle. But I digress.)

So, I was chillin with my small group fellas tonight. One of the guys had their Mac out and was on the site Urban Dictionary. He decided to look up our last names. Before I go any further, I don’t think this entire site is the best thing to check out, nor do I think it is extraordinarily appropriate. However, it can be fun. Anyways, he finally gets to my name. All the rest have been very not flattering, insulting, or just down right vulgar, so I had a bad feeling about this. He types in Denning. What come up? This. In case you don’t want to go there, it said, “Godlike; Supreme being; Potentially all you ever need; One day, when evolution is fulfilled, We will all look this good.” Gotta love good ones. Use caution and discretion when using the site.

I mean seriously! It is February 5th and it feels like freeking June. Life is beautiful and Wilmington is awesome.

46:. How Bout Them Giants?

Thats almost enough said right there. Best Superbowl I have ever seen. Anyone remember that play where Manning somehow got away from the pass rushers, and threw a bomb for a sick catch on a 3rd n 5? Ridiculous. And the Giant’s D-Line was D-Nasty. As the great Emmitt Smith said, “The Patriots offensive power got …. debacled tonight.” I couldn’t have said it better my friend. So, I guess what I’m trying to say is, eat it Patriots. 

Fricken Sweet.

45:. Top 5 Lunch Places in Wilmington

Me and Brooks eat lunch together, mostly on fridays. So, we go different places. Here are my top 5 . . .

5. Atlanta Bread Company – Not a big fan of the ALWAYS busy atmosphere, but a great soup and sandwich combo. Always great ingredients and very timely. Super awesome bread.

4. Two Guy’s Grille – Phenomenal philly chicken sub. I dig the environment and it’s a great place to kick back and watch some Sportscenter during the lunch hours.

3. BWW – These guys have a great lunch menu. Very well price and very generous protons. I can’t remember a time that I have had a bad meal here. Love the atmosphere too. Big Screens = Fricken Sick.

2. Flamin’ Amy’s Burrito Barn – HUGE burritos and amazing tastes in the salsas and everything. Also, they have a teriyaki bowl that is awesome for those trying to stay smart about their health, much like myself. I mean, come on, it’s Flamin’ Amy’s for cryin out loud. Just don’t use the bathroom . . . trust me.

1. South College Deli (aka The Best Kept Secret in Wilmington) – Three words: Beef on Weck. This is a little hole-in-the-wall place in a shopping center that may have the best sandwich in town. They have great meats for the sandwiches, fresh baked bread, and the best potato chips in town. A little ranch on the side, come on.

So, I was eating my bowl of Uncle Ben’s instant cheesy rice earlier, and I thought to myself, “What is rice made of?” I thought it was an artificial by-product of something. As I went to type in “how is rice made” into my google bar, my brain returned and i remembered it is harvested. However, I continued my google search, and this amazing site came up.
